As Head of Health Informatics Centre at National Institute of Public Health, Matic Meglič contributes to development of ePublic Health both in Slovenia as well as internationally – coordinating the key EU ePublic Health policy project called PARENT Joint Action (cross-border Patient Registries iNiTiative).
Matic is actively engaged in EU semantic interoperability (National Pilot Coordinator and Co-chair of Steering Board of epSOS.eu, member of EXPAND Executive Committee and contributor to Calliope and eHGI) and public health (EPAAC.eu Joint Action Dissemination leader and Chair of Editorial Board). He has initiated or led numerous eHealth projects and led the development of services in the fields of PHR, chronic disease management, patient empowerment and serious gaming for health (apps.facebook.com/im-a-fan-of-life, rxactive.com, moovme.net, eDepression, eCare, zdravjezame.eu).
