Per Erlend Hasvold (born 1965), MSc in Physics from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, currently the Section Manager of a research section called Home-based Services and Personal Health Systems of 20 researchers with a multidisciplinary background focusing on prevention and self-management.
Hasvold has been with the Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine (NST) since 1995, while teaching at the International Master in Telemedicine and eHealth at UiT in 2006, and acting as an Administrative Leader of Tromso Telemedicine Laboratory (TTL) – a Centre for Research-based Innovation from 2007 to early 2010.
In2000-2002 Hasvold lead the development of a Future TelemedicineLaboratory at NST and has been working with methods for ParticipatoryDesign and wearable computing since 1998. NST is a WHO CollaboratingCenter for Telemedicine, and has been involved in assessmentprojects and eHealth strategy development in several countries over thelast few years.
