The IHE Symposium will take place in on 12 May 2014, 09:00-13:00. It will be held as parallel event within eHealth Forum 2014, in Athens, organised in three sections.
The half-a-day IHE event “Practical Interoperability in Action” will include the following sections:
eHealth Interoperability Framework in Europe: IHE Overview and Status in Europe, will cover fundamental information on IHE including an update of the benefits of IHE in general and on what IHE is focusing and the future of IHE in different domains including teleHealth.
IHE & Interoperability Implementation in Europe will include at least 3 relevant best practices in Europe, providing politicians, users and vendors an overview of the benefits of existing interoperability deployment; these best practices will be presented from an organizational point of view, including the users’ testimonies, and will cover both the challenges and the opportunities these programs have encountered and how IHE have supported their endeavour.
IHE Services section will address how IHE Services can help the region/Greece and what support could be provided. A roundtable will be organized with major actors from both vendors and users sides.
IHE is a consortium of users and vendors with its main focus to promote eHealth interoperability in general: within hospitals, between eHealth institutions at a national level and even between eHealth institutions at a national or regional level and even between nations, between national eHealth platforms and infrastructures.
