The Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) is one of the finest and most technologically advanced conference venues in Europe offering a stunning environment, exceptional aesthetics and cutting edge technology.
MAICC is conveniently located in a very central city area, only 2 metro stops (4 minutes) away from Syntagma metro station, the business and commercial centre of the city. There is a dedicated “Megaron” metro station, at 2 minutes walking distance from the venue, with a direct line connecting it to the airport in 35 minutes. Over 2.000 hotel rooms (5, 4 and 3 stars) are located at 5 to 15 minutes walking distance from MAICC.
The technology and stage systems incorporated into the halls are at the forefront of technology, whilst all sound and audio visual systems are connected to the in house broadcast standard recording studio, enabling sound and video recording in broadcast format.
The main auditoria feature comfortable fixed seating, state – of – the – art sound, lighting and projection systems, simultaneous translation facilities and ushering staff included in the rental fees. The technical teams at MAICC are highly experienced and the full time technical staff of over 60 people is completely familiar with the complex technical infrastructure of the building and also trained in theatre and opera technical systems, which means they can provide any level of technical support required.
Having hosted a considerable number of the world’s high profile figures, the MAICC has substantial experience in the area of security and maintains 24-hour full time security staff throughout the building and the grounds.
From sumptuous Gala dinners to conference coffee breaks, MAICC offers the finest cuisine using only the freshest products from the Mediterranean diet, in a variety of banqueting space options including the foyers, the restaurants and selected smaller places for private dining.
All of the MAICC function spaces and halls have dedicated cloakrooms and foyers to all halls have their own bar. The venue also features a 3 story underground parking with 750 parking spaces (at an hourly or daily charge).
In addition to over 6.000 sq. m. of indoor exhibition space, the Atrium of the Muses, an exterior atrium space of 1.520 sq.m., which serves as a natural open-air extension to the venue’s interior and is equipped with recreational and communication facilities.
